PROTO TUBE is the new model I developed in collaboration with Jonathan Gubbins, one of the most recognized tube riders in the world. This board is designed to surf tubular and fast waves.
This board has a short and closed fish tail, keeping the outline as if the final part of a round pin tail board had been cut. This tail makes the board a little bit looser than the round pin tail and it keeps the line and security for this type of wave. Regarding the bottom, it has a low/medium entry rocker and a medium exit rocker, as well as a single concave that turns into a triple deep concave at 5/8 of the board and ends in a V concave in the tail. It has fine and sharp rails. What I highlight in this model is the extra area one foot from the nose to adapt the board to Jonathan’s standing in the tube.
The original measurements are 5’7 x 18.6 x 2.25 x 23.8 lt.
